What is Meeting Prep

AEs often juggle several active deals at once. CSMs and SEs may be tagged across dozens of accounts. Even with the right details surfaced in a Dashboard or across their Accords, sellers still have to consume that data, contextualize it, and translate it into a plan for the next call.

The Meeting Prep Agent removes that burden. It delivers a personalized pre-meeting brief and a draft customer email with the full context of what needs to happen on the next call to move the deal forward.

The agent runs independently on a nightly schedule. It scans for any steps marked as a meeting due the next day and provides tailored coaching. For each meeting, it covers:

  • Meeting context
  • Gaps in methodology execution
  • The key play for the call
  • Any risk that could derail the deal

It also delivers a draft email ready for the rep to send. Everything adapts to your methodology and to what was said on prior calls, making execution the path of least resistance for every rep on your team.

Prerequisites

To get the best results from the Meeting Prep Agent, we recommend enabling the following features in Accord.

Meeting Intelligence: Allows the Meeting Prep Agent to access prior call transcripts from Gong or Zoom (Coming Soon).

Sales Methodology: Allows the Meeting Prep Agent to understand and train on your chosen Sales Methodology documentation.

Configuring Meeting Prep (Admins)

In order to enable the Meeting Prep agent, a workspace admin must enable the agent from the workspace settings. Navigate to Settings → Accord Intelligence → Agents and toggle the agent on.

Configuring Your Sales Methodology

No additional configuration is required for the Meeting Prep Agent to run. However, the Meeting Prep Agent works best when your Sales Methodology documentation has been added to Accord.

In order to add your Sales Methodology documentation, navigate to Settings → Accord Intelligence → Sales Methodology. For more information see “Power Accord Intelligence With Your Sales Methodology”.

Note: The Meeting Prep agent will still work without added methodology documentation, but the coaching provided will be general best practises instead of following your org-specific methodology.

Meeting Prep Triggers

The Meeting Prep Agent runs on a nightly schedule at 7:00 PM local timezone. It scans for any step in your active Accords labeled as type "Meeting" with a due date set for the following day.

The Meeting Prep Agent runs when the following are true:

  • Step type is "Meeting" with a due date set
  • The Accord is active (not completed, deleted, or in draft)
  • The step is NOT marked as internal-only

Using Meeting Prep

The Meeting Prep agent generates one brief per meeting. Each briefing contains two parts and is sent to the user via email.

1. Coaching Brief

A coaching brief for the user to help them understand the context, objectives, and risks around the meeting.

  • The Headline: One sentence framing the call. Example: "This is a discovery call with an Influencer who hasn't shared budget authority yet. Your job: find the Economic Buyer."
  • Context: Three to four bullets on deal state:
    • Stage
    • Key contacts
    • last activity
    • Methodology fields captured
  • Gaps: Methodology gaps translated into plain English.
  • The Play: Two or three specific actions with suggested talk tracks.
  • Risk: One thing that could kill the deal if not addressed soon.

2. Draft Customer Email

The agent also drafts a customer email addressed to whoever is assigned to the meeting. The email adapts to the tone of your sales methodology and can be fully edited before sending.

Note: All agents in Accord use the same “human in the loop” control model. No Emails are sent automatically.
