This article outlines the conversion of Customer-facing objects to Internal Only objects.
Solution Providers vs. Customers
Solution Providers = the sales or success individuals who own the Accord workspace (you!)
Customers = any external member you add to an Accord
Accord’s philosophy is open by default. This means that we default to making everything visible to both Solution Providers and Customers
However, we understand that there are situations where it doesn't make sense to expose internal processes or other information that is not helpful to your customers. Because of this, we offer the ability to set items as internal only, meaning only members on your team can see it.
Internal only items are denoted in purple:
1. Internal Stages and Steps
You can make Stages and Steps internal by selecting the "⋮" on Stages and Steps in your Next Steps page:
You can also make it internal while in the Step itself – either from the same overflow menu, or by toggling the visibility setting in the top left of the step slide-out:
You will know a Step is internal when it's marked "Internal" with purple text:
2. Internal Resources
You can make Resources internal by selecting the "⋮" on the Resource in the Resources page of your Accord:
The same functionality also works for folders. Any Resource dropped into an internal-only folder will automatically inherit its folder's properties – if a folder is marked as internal, all resources in that folder will also be marked as internal.
Like Steps, we denote internal Resources with purple text:
You can also mark a Resource as internal as you are adding it! Just toggle the visibility setting in the top right of the dialog.
3. Internal Summary
If you'd like to keep the Summary tab hidden while you're working on it (or if you'd prefer to not have a Summary tab at all), you can mark it as internal.
Simply click the visibility toggle in the bottom left:
You can tell if your Summary page is internal by checking the colour of the tab. If it's blue, your customers can see it. If it's purple, only the members on your team can see it.
You can also set up your Playbooks to use internal steps, resources, and summaries. New Accords created from those Playbooks will automatically have their corresponding resources, steps, and summary marked as internal.
